Janie Heath
Massage Therapist
Janie Heath has been a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist and member of the American Massage Therapy Association for over twenty years, during which time she has endeavored to refine her skills and open her heart to provide a healing service for others. She originally studied and practiced massage therapy in London, UK, and Sydney, Australia before returning to New York City to study at the Swedish Institute. She has worked in a variety of settings, including physical therapy offices and a five-star hotel spa. Areas of special interest include repetitive stress injuries and providing palliative care for persons with cancer and other life-threatening illness, as well as helping patients with common neck and back pain. She also holds a BFA from New York University. She is a member of the Medical Reserve Corps and was a volunteer at the World Trade Center site. Massage therapy is her way of traveling the path of compassion.
