By addressing root drivers such as blood sugar regulation, gut integrity, nutrient status, detoxification pathways, and stress physiology, she supports long-term regulation rather than short-term symptom suppression.
Sarah’s passion for this work is deeply personal. Diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease at a young age, she experienced firsthand how a systems-based functional nutrition approach can restore balance when the body is supported as an integrated whole. She believes the body has an innate capacity to heal when underlying imbalances are addressed, and her mission is to empower individuals to reclaim their health, energy, and confidence through informed, sustainable care.

Why I became a naturopathic doctor:
As a young woman I found myself needing more than what conventional women’s healthcare had to offer. No matter my concerns, it seemed hormonal birth control was my only option. But what I really needed was more time with providers during visits, more access to testing, options besides pharmaceuticals, and more than anything, an investigation into the root cause of my symptoms. Naturopathic medicine was this and I have since set out to provide this high level of care as my standard of practice.
What conditions I love to treat:
- Infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, preconception preparation
- Women’s Health: Irregular periods, amenorrhea, PCOS, endometriosis, PMS, acne, hair loss, thyroid imbalance, transitioning off hormonal birth control

Why I became a Naturopathic Doctor?
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to be a doctor. After finishing my undergraduate studies in a pharmaceutical research program, I realized that the path of natural medicine made more sense for me. Seeing close family members suffer from preventable diseases was a big wake up call. The principles of naturopathic medicine resonated deeply and I practice them daily with patients, empowering them to find healing. I love that this medicine allows me to really spend time with patients, hearing everything they have to say and putting together tailored, personalized protocols. Practicing root-cause medicine is incredibly rewarding.

Special Training & Emphasis on:

Why I became a Naturopathic Doctor?
As a young mother I felt disempowered by the conventional treatment offered to my oldest son for recurrent ear infections. I felt there had to be an alternative approach to simply prescribing multiple rounds of antibiotics. That experience and search for options lead me to discover naturopathic medicine and the approach of addressing the root cause of illness rather than only masking symptoms. I appreciate the time I can take as a naturopath to dive deep into lifestyle, personal history and testing and to create personalized treatment plans.
What conditions do I love to treat?
It’s hard for me to choose because so many conditions benefit from a root cause approach, but here are a few of my favorites:
- Gut health was my first love as a naturopath and I continue to be passionate about helping patients improve their overall health by addressing inflammation and imbalances in the gut that can manifest in conditions like GERD, SIBO/IMO, IBS and IBS.
- I love helping women navigate perimenopause and the many potential associated symptoms, including insomnia, anxiety, joint pain, brain fog and hot flashes.
- I am also passionate about helping empower women to optimize their health postmenopausally and reduce their risk of osteoporosis, diabetes, heart disease and dementia.
- I enjoy helping people uncover and address insulin resistance and prediabetes which are quite common and contribute to many chronic inflammatory conditions.
- I find it very rewarding to be able to help patients address mental health and attention disorders from a holistic perspective that screens for hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, gut inflammation and social and environmental factors.
Things you may not know about me:
- I was born in Lima, Peru, but only lived there for 8 months, and have never been back – it’s on my bucket list!
- My husband is a Brit – and he has a charming accent
- I have four teenagers, two biological sons and two daughters adopted from Brazil
- I spent my highschool years in Brazil and speak Portuguese fluently
- In my freetime I love to sauna, hike, practice yoga and read
Elisabeth Jamison
Elisabeth Jamison is a MindBody Grief + Pain Coach and award-winning filmmaker whose work has explored profound themes of loss, transformation, and healing. After the back-to-back deaths of both her parents, grief became more than a subject—it became a lived experience that reshaped her entirely.
The aftermath wasn’t graceful. She experienced panic attacks, sudden hair loss, and the onset of debilitating chronic back pain. It was a full-body crisis that no self-help book could fix. And yet, slowly, breath by breath, grief and pain became her greatest teachers. Through a blend of mindbody tools, nervous system work, and deep inner inquiry, Elisabeth began to recover—emotionally and physically.
Today, she brings that hard-earned wisdom into her coaching practice, supporting others who are navigating both the emotional weight of grief and the physical realities of chronic pain. Because often, the two are deeply connected: unprocessed grief can manifest in the body, and chronic pain can bring about its own kind of mourning.
Elisabeth offers a compassionate, judgment-free space for clients to untangle what hurts—whether it’s emotional, physical, or both. She believes grief doesn’t follow stages and pain isn’t just structural. Both deserve to be met with curiosity, kindness, and skillful support.
Her approach blends neuroscience, mind-body somatic work, positive psychology, spiritual insight, and (when welcome) a touch of dark humor. Whether you’re in the thick of a significant loss, struggling with ongoing pain, or carrying a heavy mix of both, Elisabeth meets you exactly where you are. You don’t have to do this alone.
