Dirty Dozen & Clean 15 — The 2019 Edition!
In an annual rite of spring that’s not as joyful as budding trees and emerging petals, the Environmental Working Group has released its list of the Dirty Dozen fruits & vegetables most laden with pesticide residue, as well as the flip side Clean 15.
Chinese Herbs
Chinese herbs can be very effective, if a bit odd. Sometimes they aren’t even plant based but are made from a variety of organic materials. Often, Chinese herbs are used in combination with other herbs to make the perfect formula. Seeking a knowledgeable herbalist is important when taking many herbs to avoid contraindications with some pharmaceuticals, supplements, and even other herbs.
Daylight Savings Time Blues
When the clocks spring ahead and we lose an hour of sleep, our bodies can be reeling for days. Not only do you feel run down and exhausted, but it puts quite a bit of stress on the whole system.
Workplace Eye Wellness Awareness Continues
March is Workplace Eye Wellness Awareness month. Eye health affects us all, even more as we get older. The Winter Hunch

The wellness field expands constantly, as more and more people understand the importance of taking care of themselves and investing in their health.

With food allergies, sensitivities, gluten intolerance, and concerns about unhealthy additives on the rise, grocery shopping can feel like a mine field of hazards. Federal law mandates that labels on prepared foods declare ingredients, with a call-out to the most common (and often life-threatening) allergens: eggs, milk, fish, crustacean shellfish, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and tree nuts.

Diagnosing with Massage
An often overlooked benefit of massage to use it as a way to check in with the body, as a type of diagnostic tool to feel what’s going on.
Acupuncture & Male Fertility
Infertility in women and the ways that acupuncture, herbs, and bodywork can all be beneficial to conception have been a long-term focus of mine, which I’ve talked and written about extensively.
