Summer Pleasures: Camping Safely!
Among most fun aspects of summertime is being able to revel in the outdoors, to sleep & eat & play in the open air. In a word: CAMPING!
Painful Periods
Many women dread their periods for a multitude of reasons. Traditional Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and herbs, gives excellent results for most women who have issues with their menstrual cycles.
Developing Awareness – Taking Your Meditation Out into the World – Walking Meditation
Meditation is a process of developing greater awareness, and we are continuously discovering who and what we are. We meet ourselves wherever we are in the moment. That might be a bit scary or a bit boring – but be brave the challenge is not to let this discomfort take over but to relax into how things are. Bring your awareness back to the moment rather than thoughts or feelings and do so without judgment. After a while the discomfort slips away in to a natural rhythm.
Precious Moments
I’m all about finding peace, that mental calmness and tranquility. It’s fleeting, though. I search daily for in-the-moment, slowed-down life and presence. For me, time flies by, one day zooms to the next, and weeks just go by almost like days. The internet sure doesn’t help. Minutes seem like only a couple seconds. I look up to find 20 or 30 minutes have passed, or even an hour.

Prior to my being hired at Element, I visited the website and saw the array of service offerings, and I was very impressed. I started on the first Saturday in May this year, and, needless to say, I was very excited to join the team.
Summer Tips!
Summer is here! From an acupuncture perspective, seasonal changes are a big deal, since humans are viewed as microcosms of the natural world that surrounds them. Weather and time of year can factor significantly into how we feel, both physically and emotionally.
