The Woes of Winter SkinTeenager problem skin care - woman wash face with cleansing foam

Is the change of weather drying out your skin? Skin conditions change with the weather. If you felt oily all summer long and suddenly feel very dry, you may need to switch up your skin care regimen.

Here are a few tips to help soothe dry winter skin.

-Take note if your cleanser is drying out your skin. Your skin should not feel tight after cleansing. Try an oil-based cleanser for the winter, like Ajara Coconut Rose Cleanser, and avoid foaming cleansers and soaps.

-Apply moisturizer on damp skin. It helps with the absorption of product. You can try our new Ajara Rose Hydrating Toner before applying your choice of moisturizer. Never leave your house without protecting your skin from the outside elements. We have two great ones available at Element made from a blend of nut butters and herbal oils: Ajara Youth Rassara Cream (best for dry and mature skin) and Ajara Tulsi Neem Repair Cream (best for soothing/healing acne or rosacea). You can apply make up on top of either moisturizers.

-In cold weather, it helps to layer products. Ajara’s moisturizing facial oils make a great base layer. They consist exclusively of pure essential oils in an organic base oil. Personally, I love the smell of Ajara’s Vata oilโ€”I use it under Tulsi Neem Repair Cream or Rassara Youth Cream. Ajara has 3 different types of oils for different skin types: Pitta for sensitive and blemished skin, Kapha for oily skin, and Vata for dry skin.

Stay warm & remember to nourish and protect your skin!!!!
