My gratitude goes out to Emma, from Mind Body Green, for the positive write-up about Reiki services at Element Natural Healing Arts! Emma’s Reiki practitioner was Corinne Feinberg, a treasured member of our Element Team. Corrine brings kindness and compassion with her healing touch. I hope more people can experience this gentle and effective healing modality.

Could you explain the process of Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle way to balance the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki practitioners lightly place their hands on or just above the body to facilitate the energetic flow and balance in the client and promote better health and wellbeing. The client may experience a sense of warmth and tingling, as well as a deep state of relaxation.
How is a Reiki practitioner taught to balance people’s energy?
Reiki is passed down from teacher to student though a process called an “attunement.” An attunement allows the Reiki energy to connect to the student. Students learn specific hand positions around the head, shoulder, stomach, and feet in a course that typically ranges from seven hours to an entire weekend for the first level of Reiki training. There are four distinct levels, in addition to different styles of training available. It can take eight months to a year to complete all four levels.
What are some physical and mental benefits for clients who have had repeated Reiki sessions?
Stress and anxiety reduction; reduction and elimination of pain symptoms, such as knee pain, back pain, and headaches; better sleep; a better sense of self and balance; clearer head; improved focus and concentration; improved digestion; increase in stamina; the healing of emotional trauma; and a faster recovery from surgery and ailments, to name a few.
