The Chinese New Year begins this upcoming Saturday, January 25. If you missed setting a goal or intention at the beginning of the month, you can do it for the Chinese New Year!
In truth, itโs never too late to make a change in your life. It just requires some clarity.
According to Susannah Ludwig, a career, marriage and life coach who guides her clients through challenges including divorce, chronic illness and career changes, you must set your intentions not only with your head, but also, with your heart.
Distilling your desires into a single word helps to do exactly this, Susannah says.
In a recent blog post on her website, she recommends: โTake a deep breath, close your eyes, and think about what is the one word that most exemplifies what you wish for this year.โ
This year, Susannahโs word is โPresence.โ As she outlines in the post, she is busy. She is planning a wedding, a move to the suburbs, and her sonโs bar mitzvah.
โPresence is just a quick reminder to stay in the moment, and not be all about the planning,โ Susannah says.
Susannah recently started her own life coaching business after working for many years as a film producer. In that capacity, she was able to guide many creative people to create the best work they had within them.
Now, as a life coach, she is trying to do the same for her clients. In specific, she offers a 90-minute enVISIONing session in which she helps clients figure out what they want their life to be.
Susannah is currently located in Carroll Gardens, right near Element โ and will be for at least a few more months before she moves. Sheโs one of Christinaโs favorite clientsโwe always love seeing her when she comes in for acupuncture.
