While I am no homeopathic doctor, there are some homeopathic medications that I find essential to have on hand.
First, you may ask, what is homeopathic medicine? Homeopathy involves a substance taken in small amounts that will cure the same symptoms it causes if taken in large amounts.

The most common one I use is Arnica, both in the form of sublingual pellets and cream. While pure arnica is poisonous, in extremely diluted forms it can treat bruising and muscle pain. It is also commonly used pre- and post-surgery to prevent and minimize bruising, swelling, and pain. Having two children means that I am a daily witness to falls, scrapes, and bumps. That’s when I reach for the Arnica, which is generally safe to use on children. I am never without it when we travel, for all those falls or bumps along the way.

Running the marathon this weekend? Taking 5 pellets of arnica sublingual post-run is a great way to aid in muscle health, healing, and recovery.

Have arnica on hand, whether you are home or traveling!
