October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Pink buttons and ribbons abound, as well as fundraising walks and fun runs. Honored in countries across the world, Breast Cancer Awareness Month seeks to draw attention to and offer support for awareness, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women worldwide. Thanks to self-examination and early detection, great strides have been made in battling this disease. But there’s much more to be done. Breast cancer is still the second leading cause of cancer deaths for women.
