Fatherโ€™s Day is approaching this Sunday. We all have many emotional ties to our fathers, whether we know them well or not at all.

For some, Fatherโ€™s Day may be just another day, for others a day to reflect, and for others a day to give thanks and celebrate the fathers or father figures in our present lives. This holiday is celebrated around the world, just not always on the thirdย Sunday in June.

In this short blog post I must give thanks to my husband. Seeing him with our daughter brings unexplainable happiness, love, peace, and joy to my soul. The love, the laughter, the smiles are so pure. I thank him for the attention, the time, the patience, and the love he gives to our daughter and to me.

To my own father I must give thanks for teaching me to be kind and respectful. Helping me understand discipline and hard work. Not being overbearing or judgmental and allowing me to find my way.

Whether itโ€™s a father, a mother, a partner, or loved one, finding time to say thank you for your support, thank you for your love, or thank you for your generosity can go a long way with the receiver. These holidays give us that chance.
