Winter weather can be rough on the complexion. At this point in the season, the charm of winter is waning. The cold, dry air takes the moisture right out of your skin, but with a little extra care you can keep your face feeling good until spring comes to the rescue.
Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate
Weather-worn skin needs a fresh start. Get rid of those dry flakes by exfoliating 2 to 3 times a week with a gentle exfoliant. Your product should not feel too harsh on your skin; make sure the grains are very fine and do not feel abrasive. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells from the surface of your face and allows your new skin to shine.

Try a Mask
Give yourself a mini facial at home once or twice a week. After youโve freshened up with an exfoliant, you should pamper the new skin with a hydrating mask. Products penetrate deeper after exfoliating.

Always Moisturize
Your skin condition changes with the season so the moisturizer you use during the spring or summer may not be enough for the winter. It is always best to apply your product to moist skin, so the product fully absorbs. Never leave your house without moisturizing because it provides a layer of protection from the cold conditions.

Need Something Extra?
If youโre feeling extra dry, you can include a layer of oil under your moisturizer for an extra boost of moisture. Oils nourish, moisturize, and rejuvenate your skin by penetrating the deepest levels of the skin. Be careful choosing your oilโnot all oils are for your face and some of oils will be better for your skin type than others.
