Starting the day off with a healthy breakfast is a great way to ensure more energy, focus, and balance throughout the day. You may have heard this before, but it is worth reiterating: It’s critical to avoid sugar-packed, processed foods first thing in the morning. Make sure to check the contents of cereals, breads, and breakfast drinks–even those from the health food store–because it is surprising what lurks in so-called healthy foods!
Protein is full of essential energy. Eggs and a vegetable, such as spinach or kale, make a wonderful breakfast option. Or try a fruit smoothie (a healthier sweet option) with almond milk or coconut milk. Oatmeal with fruit and nuts can also get you off to a good start. Beginning your day out with the right fuel makes for an easier, healthier day.
