“Better than a thousand hollow words is one word that brings peace.” Buddha
Be mindful of the words you use and how you speak to others. A negative word or comment has a far greater impact than we imagine as we say it, either in jest or in anger. Whether in person, or in the increasingly prevalent universe of social media and texting communications, we need to take care and be very deliberate about what we say and how we say it. It may be just a casual passing thought tossed out without much consideration, but it can cause lasting hurt or damage to the person on the other end. The speed and variety of outlets (email, Facebook, tweets, IM, Instagram, texts, in addition to the phone itself) ย can make us a little reckless, especially when we are not face-to-face. Let’s make sure that kindness doesn’t get lost in the shuffle.
